Let me tell you what, your heart is pounding, the breathing is loud, and the tree your standing next to is not big enough! At 5 yds. a bull moose is BIG! We called him in from 300 yds. PSE bow and Wasp Hammer SST broadhead did the trick. He ran 25 yds and died within 10 yds of the boat. So now I have over 600 lbs. of delicious meat and a 52" rack hanging in th living room at home.

Finalists: Canadian Mule Deer

Hey Everyone,

I have spent the last couple of very cold days in western Alberta, Canada. It was -16 Celsius today, but worth every cold minute! I happened across this fine Mule Deer, while walking a cut line and he is now in the process of making some very fine sausages for me and my family! I have not measured him up yet but just for comparison sake I am 6'6" and 190 lbs.

my 8 year old daughter has taken her first buck this year. Where so proud . its her 2 year and her first deer. she used her 223 rifle .and she made sure that she and I srayed down .around 6.00 p.m. a 6 piont buck steped out and I got her up to the frount of the stand she got the rifle up and in the scope i asked if she had it in the scope she replyed yes and i helped her set the triger and she fired later when we fount the deer we found out that it was not a 6 point buck... it was a seven . were so proud. and yes were having it mounted .. wont you?

Finalists: 2010 Opening Day Bow Harvest

After preparing all summer to get everything right for opening day, it came and went in a flash. The 2010 Ohio deer season opened up September 25^th and we had just had a small front come in, which dropped the temperature and brought in some cloud cover. During the summer months, it is time to try and pattern the deer. This is the time when it is most easy to try and make an educated guess about where the mature bucks are going to and from. It is easy when you are able to put trail cameras out or sit over an area and glass for an extended period of time. I was not this lucky.
